Elmo Cake

I received a request for a red, black and white Elmo themed cake for three little ones all turning 2. I did lots of research and couldn't find anything to give me inspiration so I had to come up with the design myself. Elmo was made with gumpaste. =)

Train Baby Shower Cake

This cake was designed based on the invitations used for the baby shower. They requested to have the baby sneakers for the topper.

Nadia's Nurse Grad Cake

This cake was really fun to make! It was for a lady that was graduating from nursing school. She didn't give me any specifics at all for the cake with the exception of her name and that she wanted a "general nurse theme". In my research, most of the nurse cakes that I found were red and white. I wanted pink. So I used little ideas here and there from other cakes and incorporated them into my own design with PINK instead of red. lol I was so happy with the way that it turned out because it didn't look like any of the other nurse cakes that I found online. This is what my sister refers to as a "Dusty Original". =) All of the decorations were made with fondant. The "needle" for the syringe was just wire.

Tiffany wanted a fabulous birthday cake with a sexy high heel shoe on top. She sent me a picture of a three tier cake that I had made previously and she wanted a two tier version of that. You can never go wrong with using pink and black together, in my opinion! The heel was hand made with gumpaste.

Brenda's Mother's Day Cake

Mother's Day cake for Brenda with her 4 babies on it. =) The top tier is white almond sour cream cake and the bottom tier is chocolate.

LaDonna wanted a luau themed graduation cake and she gave me free reign on the design for the cake. =) I looked at lots of different cakes for ideas and then decided on this design. The bottom tier is strawberry cake, the middle is white almond sour cream cake and the top is chocolate.

This was my first time making a giraffe print cake and my first time making a "fuzzy" teddy bear. =) The top tier is strawberry cake, the middle tier is chocolate and the bottom tier is white almond sour cream cake.

Ariana's mom wanted a cake with a previous design that I had done and then she wanted jungle animals added. =) The top and bottom tiers are white almond sour cream cake and the middle tier is chocolate cake.

Happy 5th Birthday Reagan!

I was so excited to make a purple cake! I think purple is my new favorite color because lately my eyes are drawn to everything that color! I can't wait to get the pictures from Reagan's mom and grandmother from the party because they always have the prettiest decorations! The cake is chocolate and strawberry. I made Reagan's cake last year as well. You can see it here. =)

Addison's 1st Birthday

I had the privilege of making the baby shower cake for Addison's mom while she was still in her tummy and now I was chosen to make her 1st birthday cake as well! =) The top and bottom tiers are white almond sour cream cake and the middle tier is chocolate. All three tiers have cream cheese filling. 

Sofia's 1st Birthday

Sofia's mom sent me a picture of a cake that she liked and wanted a version of it for Sofia's 1st birthday. =) The topper for the cake was a Hello Kitty topper, which was added after the cake was picked up. The top tier is chocolate cake and the bottom is strawberry. 

Hailey's Minnie Mouse Cake

Hailey's mom sent me lots of pictures of adorable things that she was going to be using for Hailey's birthday party for my inspiration for the cake. She also wanted a little miniature version of Hailey on there somewhere. So this is what I came up with. =) The top tier is strawberry cake, middle is chocolate and the bottom is white almond sour cream cake.

Raelynn's 3rd Birthday

This cake is inspired by the Jessie character from Toy Story. My original plan was to make gumpaste Woody and Jessie characters but I ended up not having the time to do it unfortunately. The top tier is chocolate cake, middle is white almond sour cream and the bottom is strawberry cake.

Kennedy's Yo Gabba Gabba cake

I was given a picture by the customer of the cake that she wanted so I basically copied it but made a few changes here and there. The top tier is chocolate cake and the bottom is white almond sour cream cake. All of the characters are made with gumpaste.
