Hot Chocolate

6"
This was just a practice cake. I saw one that someone else had made and I wanted to try it. I sent it home with my mom for my family to eat and she gave it to my sister to take to work with her for a snack for her coworkers...none of them wanted to cut it because they said it was "too cute to cut" so back home it went and my family finally ate it! Chocolate fudge cake iced with buttercream and covered in fondant. =)

Bethany's birthday

8-6-4
For my sister's 28th birthday. The bottom 2 layers are white almond sour cream cake, the top is spice cake. Iced with buttercream and then covered in fondant.

Caterpillar cake

I made this cake for my sister's birthday...she said I could make whatever I wanted so I wanted to try a caterpillar cake. During the time I was making it, I was also buying a new car and I had to go to the dealership 3 different times that day so I didn't get to do all I wanted to with this cake. It's spice cake, iced with buttercream and then covered in fondant.

Happy Birthday Charity!

14-10-6
This is the biggest cake I've made so far...for my baby sister's 18th birthday. I wanted to attempt to make a big cake and a topsy turvy cake and this was the perfect opportunity for me to do both. It was very frustrating trying to cover the 14" tier with fondant so I ended up covering just the top in one piece and then I did 5" sections all around the bottom. The decorations covered all the seams so you couldn't tell it wasn't covered in one big piece. I've decided that if I ever have to make a cake this size again, it won't be topsy turvy because this one was too hard for me to carve! I think this cake could have served like 1,000 people. lol We only used 3/4 of the middle tier for the party! And we cut big slices too! White almond sour cream cake with buttercream filling. Iced with white chocolate ganache and then covered in marshmallow fondant. After tasting it, I decided that I prefer buttercream under the fondant instead only because the ganache made it too sweet for my taste. =)

Nikki's Birthday

This is a 6" tier and a 4" tier. It was for my sister's best friend. This was my first time making a gum paste bow and I'm happy with the way it turned out =) I think this is my favorite cake so far because I love the vibrant colors. White almond sour cream cake with buttercream filling, iced in buttercream and covered in fondant.

Jon's Birthday

Here's the booty cake for Jon's 49th birthday. The customer wanted a "tattoo" with his name on it. It's white almond sour cream cake iced in buttercream and then covered in fondant.

Booty Cake

This was a practice cake. A customer requested a booty cake so I wanted to make sure it would turn out okay first. It's pound cake (because that's what I had in my pantry) iced with buttercream and then covered in marshmallow fondant. Now I have to find someone to give it to!

Danielle's Birthday

8"-6"
The birthday girl wanted a cake identical to one I previously made. I added ribbon roses to the bottom and a few white fondant balls as well. It's white almond sour cream cake with buttercream filling and covered in white chocolate ganache and then fondant.

Avery's Birthday

10"-8"-6"
This cake was for a friends daughter named Avery. All 3 tiers are pound cake with buttercream filling and covered in chocolate ganache and then with fondant. I had a tough time with it and I actually dropped the blue tier and it fell onto the pink tier but thanks to the ganache underneath, it didn't cause damage that decorations couldn't cover! =D

Nancy's Birthday

8"-6", 2 layers each
This is the first cake I sold...yay! =) (all the others were gifts) It was pound cake with buttercream filling. Instead of icing it with buttercream, I used chocolate ganache and then covered it in marshmallow fondant with fondant accents.
The "N" on the top is gumpaste. This was my first time making ribbon roses. You can't really see them in this pic but next time I make them, they will be better...I was in a time crunch. lol This was also my first time using the ganache. I was told it's delicious, which is why I chose to use it but I have never tasted it so I'm waiting to hear from the customer to see if they liked it.

Cake for Ms. Jo

6" 2 layer
I made this one for my mom's friend. It was red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. Iced with cream cheese and covered in marshmallow fondant with fondant accents.

Cody's Birthday

10"-8" and 2, 6" for the tunnels
This was for my nephews 5th birthday. He's a big Thomas the Train fan! His mom wanted all white cake. Buttercream filling..iced in buttercream and covered in marshmallow fondant with fondant accents. The toppers are toys that my sister-in-law bought . The main cake settled after I covered it with the fondant and it wrinkled a little. I wasn't happy about that but everyone loved it anyway!

Barbe Bucs Fan

8" 2 layer...this was for a fan of the Barbe High School Bucs. It was a pecan praline cake with cream cheese filling. Iced with cream cheese and then covered in marshmallow fondant with fondant decorations.

Party at Grandma's

10" square-8" round-6" round
This one I made for a get together that my grandma was having. The bottom tier was yellow cake, the middle tier was chocolate fudge cake and the top was spice cake. Each tier had buttercream filling. Iced in buttercream and covered in marshmallow fondant. I made it on a Sunday at my parents house and didn't have a cake board to put it on so that's why it's on that blue tray. Not the classiest presentation but still yummy! =)

Jenn's Birthday

6" 2 layer
This cake was for my best friend's birthday. It's a regular yellow cake and I
added pink food coloring into the batter so that when you cut into the cake it would be pink. It's iced in buttercream and covered in marshmallow fondant. The zebra stripes and bow were marshmallow fondant as well. It was the first bow I made. It kind of collapsed on me so it's not full like I intended for it to be. Oh well...what can ya do? lol

Emma's Birthday

8" single layer-6" 2 layer
I made this cake for my neice's birthday. Both layers are strawberry cake with buttercream filling. It's covered in marshmallow fondant with buttercream underneath. Bow and decorations are also marshmallow fondant.

Hi everyone! I decided to create a blog for my cakes so that you guys can see my work. =) Please feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. Enjoy!
