Ayvah's mom sent me a few pictures of Doc McStuffin cakes for inspiration. I used them to create this cake. =) I didn't know how good the characters would turn out if I had modeled them by hand so I went ahead and used real toys instead.

I had never heard of The Fresh Beat Band until Emmeline's grandma told me that she loved it and they wanted that to be her cake theme. I thought it was such a cute theme for a cake and I had such a fun time making it!

Katie's Sesame Street Birthday Cake

This cake is one of my all time favorite cakes that I've made...not the characters (I need some practice with those..haha) but just the cake itself. I was disappointed that the photo doesn't show the colors as vibrant as they were in person.

 I took this pic with my iPhone while I was decorating the cake...

 

 

It shows the colors better and this is much more the way it  looked in person. =)

Trey's Halloween Birthday Cake

Trey is a Halloween baby and so his mom wanted a non-scary Halloween cake for his 2nd birthday. She sent me a picture of the treat bags that she bought for the party...one of them was a jack-o-lantern and the other was Frankenstein. So I used that as inspiration for the cake. =)

Donovan's 2nd Birthday

Donovan's dad wanted a little cake for him and told me that his two favorite movies are "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Megamind". He left everything else up to me. I decided to do the dragon one because I've seen the movie and loved it! I made Toothless the dragon out of clay because it was easier than to have made him with gumpaste and have to support his upper body with something while he dried. The clay held up on its own so that was awesome and it also gives Donovan a keepsake for when the cake is long gone! =)
